The Remediation Unit (RMU) serves as the unit responsible for designing, building and maintaining an integrated Financial Crime related Remediation Programme for HSBC Bangladesh. It is the bank-wide coordinating unit for the execution of key control efforts to ensure a coordinated strategy and focused execution for remediating financial crime risk in HSBC Bangladesh. This will bring together all financial crime related remediation elements: data, processes, control, policy and reporting to ensure there is robust execution of and governance around all financial crime risk related remediation items. A key element to this unit will be the ability to balance core Financial Crime Risk elements with commercially viable solutions to ensure the long term sustainability of the bank in Bangladesh. There will also be the need to challenge strategic decisions and provide an independent view to Group stakeholders at senior levels in the new and largely uncharted environment of financial crime management in banking.
We are currently seeking ambitious individuals to join this team in the role of Project Management Office Senior Analyst, Remediation Unit, CEO’s Office.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver day to day reporting services to support financial crime related remediation programme for HSBC Bangladesh
- Deliver complex standardised and ad-hoc reports that are aligned with prescribed Reporting and Analytics processes, guidelines, frameworks and data requirements
- Assist in ensuring adherence to a set of RMU wide expectations on the frequency, type and accuracy of portfolio, programme and project data inputs
- Support the Country Project Manager Remediation in delivery of MI and reporting with consistent standard and continuous improvement initiatives
- Deliver remediation programme information to key stakeholders within agreed deadlines
- Proactively suggest and implement process standardisation / automation while delivering tasks of the RMU
- Work with multiple local, regional and global delivery and business partner teams
- Be responsible for contribution to a positive work environment and promote teamwork to drive remediation programme engagement.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor from a public/private university preferably from Business background
- Strong understanding of financial crime related remediation programme
- Experience in relevant sectors, preferably financial and data analytics
- Excellent understanding and operational knowledge of toolsets for reporting and analysis
- A good understanding of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) concepts
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Power point
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Ability to work independently with limited guidance
- Must be a Bangladeshi citizen.
